HEE tender for Master’s programme in genomics now live
Higher education institutions are invited to submit a tender to provide HEE’s Master’s programme in genomic medicine from September 2018
The Master’s in Genomic Medicine programme and associated modules have been successfully delivered by 10 partner universities since early 2015. As this contract is now coming to an end, Health Education England is inviting interested higher education institutions (HEIs) to submit a tender to provide the course programme with an aim to start in September 2018.
Transforming the workforce
This is an exciting opportunity for HEIs across the country to engage with and support the ongoing work of the Genomics Education Programme (GEP) to upskill and transform the workforce as genomic medicine moves beyond specialist clinics and into mainstream patient care.
The GEP is looking for HEIs with a strong track record in delivering excellent and innovative teaching programmes and delivering research-informed teaching. The team is also looking to continue the previous geographical spread of establishments to ensure fair access for all NHS staff.
Tender details
From 14th August, prospective tendering HEIs can view the full procurement details and download all the tender documentation through the electronic procurement portal. Bidders will need to register and complete the online documentation before 02 October 2017. The winning bidders will be announced in early 2018.
Successful bidders will be expected to deliver a validated programme for a first cohort beginning in September 2018.
