In 2021, the Genomics Education Programme invited members of the UK’s pharmacy workforce to take part in a survey, with the intention of understanding their knowledge and readiness to practice genomics-informed medicine.
The survey was designed to identify the attitudes and preferences of that workforce around genomics; in particular, to:
- assess if and how the pharmacy workforce currently uses genomics;
- measure self-perceived confidence in their genomics knowledge and skills;
- evaluate engagement with genomics education and training;
- understand how they see their use of genomics in future practice; and
- identify future education and training requirements.
This report summarises the results of the survey.
