Throughout March 2023, the RCPCH genomics programme and Genomics Working Group, in collaboration with the HEE Genomics Education Programme, are hosting a ‘Month of Genomics’ with the aim of raising awareness of and to equip paediatricians and other medical professionals with genomics knowledge for clinical practice.
As part of the Month of Genomics the RCPCH is hosting a webinar covering Paediatric GeNotes: Facilitating genomics mainstreaming for paediatric clinicians (pre-launch) on Friday 24th March 12:30pm – 13:30pm
Professor Kate Tatton-Brown and Dr Eleanor Hay will present an overview of the exciting new Paediatric GeNotes resource, which launches this May 2023. Paediatric GeNotes offers ‘just in time’ education on when, why and how to request genomic testing as well as feeding back results to patients, and is based around – and designed to support – the latest National Genomic Test Directory. GeNotes is the first resource of its kind to offer both practical and educational information on genomic testing to NHS clinicians at the point of need, underpinned by supporting education for those keen to extend their knowledge.
