The Royal College of Psychiatrists is holding an online Genomics Education event on the afternoon of 5 December 2023.
This online event has been created for all Psychiatrists in the UK and aims to provide an overview of the principles of genomics relevant to psychiatry, to introduce the genetic landscape of psychiatric disorders and its complexity and too describe the role of the psychiatrist and other mental health professionals in genomic medicine including genetic testing.
As genomic medicine becomes embedded into many different services within the NHS, knowledge of genomics will be pertinent to many psychiatrists working with patients of all age groups. This knowledge of genomic medicine will aid interactions with patients and improve your practice.
The webinar will be recorded, and the recording will be made available within a week of the webinar taking place. Registered attendees will have access to the recording for two months after the webinar date.
