British Science Festival visitors of all ages can explore how diverse genomics data can be used to raise healthcare equality.

Visitors to the British Science Festival can drop in to this free exhibition to understand how data diversity is affecting our understanding of genomics. A series of creative workshops will address: what is missing from our knowledge of the human genome, what having diversity in genomic data looks like and what having a representative genome really means to research.

The Tree of Life exhibit has hands-on activities for all ages including representing yourself on a tree of life and designing your own tote bag via an arts and craft workshop.

This free walk-in exhibit is hosted by Breaking Down Barriers, the NHS Central and South Genomic Medicine Service and The Open University’s genetics research awareness via community engagement (GRACE) project.
