Scientist Training Programme (STP) applicants, interested in a career in genetic/genomic counselling, are encouraged to sign-up to this first lunchtime taster session: What is a genetic counsellor? This lunchtime event will last around 45 minutes.
Hear about the role of a genetic counsellor and what a typical work week involves, followed by a discussion and Q&A with St George’s Hospital-based registered genetic counsellors. They will share their experiences and discuss some of their relevant interests and projects.
For more information on this event, including how to register, please visit its webpage or contact the event’s hosts, St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Note that this is the first of two free virtual sessions, hosted by St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with the second taking place on Wednesday 6 November.
