Opportunities to apply for sponsorship for part-time study in genomics at Newcastle and Exeter Universities
There are a number fully funded, part-time places still available on the Master’s in Genomic Medicine course, available to start in early 2017 at Newcastle University and the University of Exeter. HEE would like to remind all those who wish to study the Master’s on a part-time basis that these represent some of the final opportunities to apply for sponsorship.
The Master’s in Genomic Medicine and associated CPPD courses have been designed to support the transformation of the NHS through the development of genomic technologies and personalised medicine, in particular to support the work of the NHS England Genomic Medicine Centres and the 100,000 Genomes Project.
The course is aimed at NHS healthcare professionals working in England from the full range of professional backgrounds and groups (such as medicine, nursing, healthcare scientists and technologists).
The popular part-time study route allows students to balance work and home life with their studies, and the choice of optional modules also allows students to learn more about genomics in a way that is more relevant to their day to day role.
A number of individual courses are available as CPPD modules for those who are unable to commit to the full-time Master’s programme.
